Our team is hiring Temporary Food Service Workers to support the Bay Pines VA Healthcare System. Candidates will assist in providing food service across various departments, including Critical Care, Medical and Surgical Wards, Long Term Care (LTC), Community Living Centers (CLC), Palliative Care, Domiciliary Care, and Substance Abuse Residential Rehabilitation Treatment Programs.
Responsibilities:
Set up the food service counter or dining area, ensuring it is clean and inviting
Prepare, serve, and deliver meals to patients across different units.
Clean and sanitize work areas, utensils, or equipment to maintain health and sanitation standards
Ensure that all food and drinks are served at the correct temperature
Ensure adherence to food safety and VA protocols.
Work closely with healthcare staff to meet patient dietary needs.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in food service or a related field
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Knowledge of food safety and handling procedures
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
